Volunteer At Ground Zero Rescue
Ground Zero Rescue Mission began with two determined individuals, Pastors Mary and Joseph Shelnutt. We need your help! In fact, we have opportunities to volunteer for every skill level, background and interest. Our volunteer efforts are assigned by our volunteer team and projects are approved by management to insure efficiency and coordinated communications among our volunteers.

Some specific areas where your time would be greatly appreciated are:

Physical labor with repairs and maintenance to our shelters, moving heavy items within the shelter or relocating them to our mission markets, special facility projects overseen by management

Transportation of residents as assigned by management

Special event support as designated by management

Fundraising support as designated by management

Soliciting donations of goods and services upon reviewing priority list

Representing Ground Zero in your church, business, civic organization, school or club

Coordinating transportation and receipt of donated household goods for our shelters or mission markets

Locating available space for expanding our housing capacity and presenting to management findings to management

These are only a few ways we would welcome your volunteer support. If you are interested in learning more about our volunteer opportunities or would like to sign up as a volunteer, please contact us at volunteer@groundzerorescue.org
